Your N20's factory airbox is strangling turbo response and limiting power potential. This behind-the-grille intake eliminates the restrictive stock system, feeding your 2.0T unrestricted airflow for sharper boost delivery and sustained power through the entire rev range.
Performance Gains
Expect immediate improvements in throttle response and stronger pull from 3,000-6,500 RPM as your N20 breathes cooler, denser air through the high-flow filter element. Peak boost arrives 200-300 RPM earlier, eliminating the factory lag that plagues stock 28i models. The redesigned intake tract reduces pressure drop and heat soak, allowing your turbo to hit target boost more efficiently while maintaining consistent power delivery under sustained load.

Installation & Supporting Mods
This is a purpose-built performance intake that requires hands-on mechanical work and familiarity with the engine bay. It is not a drop-in OEM replacement. The stock inlet must be removed first, and silicone couplers can be clocked to different angles for proper routing — this is intentional and by design, not a fitment issue.
An experienced BMW DIYer should plan for 3-4 hours. If you are less familiar with working in the turbo area, allow more time and review the install guides first. Install video guides are available online and linked in your order confirmation. If you are not comfortable working around the turbo and intake manifold area, we recommend having a shop experienced with aftermarket turbo components handle the install.
