This isn't a bolt-on power adder; it's the foundation for serious N55 builds that demand more than stock boost can deliver.

Performance Gains

Expect 100-150 additional wheel horsepower over stock with supporting modifications like fuel system upgrades and custom tuning. The larger compressor wheel maintains the N55's signature linear power delivery while supporting higher boost targets — typically 18-22 PSI depending on your build goals. Throttle response stays sharp thanks to the twin-scroll design, but now you'll pull hard through redline instead of tapering off at 5,500 RPM. Spool characteristics remain similar to stock, making this ideal for street builds that need track-day capability.

Installation & Supporting Mods

Professional installation is strongly recommended. Turbo R&R on BMW engines involves working in tight spaces with oil and coolant lines, plus this custom manifold product requires experience with aftermarket turbo fitment.
